Is there any software to download?

No, Https: uses a Java-interface that allows for real-time interaction with the totalisator system.

What are the hardware/operating system requirements?

Minimum Requirements:

  • Modem with 28.8 BPS connection speed
  • Version 4.0 browser or higher (IE or Netscape recommended), browser has to be java-capable.

Is technical help available?

The top priority of Https: is to make sure that our members are well looked-after. We offer 24-hour technical support, 7 days a week.

Wagering Questions

What types of wagers are accepted?

Most wager types will be offered by Https:—the only ones we cannot offer are parlay wagers, i.e. twin-trifecta wagers.

Can I access exotic probable payouts?

You will be able to access various probable payouts, based on the track and the race.

Are there surcharges for wagering?

No, Https: does not include surcharges when wagering.

How are wagers placed?

Wagers can be placed up to post time – when the horses begin entering the gate. Wagers are transmitted from your personal computer to our licensed wagering jurisdiction through pari-mutuel wagering pools of the host tracks within seconds.

When/how do I know if my wager is accepted?

There is an on-screen wager confirmation accompanied by a ticket serial number and EFS referral number provided within seconds of submitting the wager.

If I make a mistake, may I cancel a wager?

Once you submit a wager, you may not cancel it. However, before submitting your wager you will be asked to confirm your selection. At that point you may cancel your selection and re-submit a corrected wager.

Are winners paid full track odds?

Winners are paid at full track odds on all commingled wagers. Limits may be applied to booked wagers.

How long does it take for the winnings to reflect in my account?

Your winnings will be reflected in your account within a few moments after the race has been made “official”.

Can I see my wagering transactions?

Yes, you can see a complete record of all wagers you placed through Https: in your account history.

Can I see my balance online?

Yes, once logged in your balance will be viewable throughout the software.

Will I be able to print my wager transactions?

Yes, you can print individual wagers or a history report.

What are the general Https: Rules?

All wagers and money transactions are done in US dollars and take place at our server in Antigua . All wagers are recorded using Eastern Time (ET). All players must be at least 18 years of age. No Past-Post Wagering will be allowed. If an event is left open for wagering in error after the start of the event, Https: reserves the right to cancel wagers entered after the start time. All bets are on the horse not the number.

What type of security does Https: use?

(BRIS) – Through its partnership with BRIS, Https: handicappers can retrieve information on more than 1.8 million Thoroughbreds, 8 million starts, 40,000 trainers, and 10,000 jockeys – in over one hundred different types of reports and data files. BRIS specializes in added-value handicapping services and daily reports for the racing industry.

TrackData – An established past performance provider of thoroughbred, greyhound, jai-alai, and harness racing information, TrackData is highly recognized for providing fan-friendly past performances and added-value handicapping information.

Does the industry receive any benefit from my common pool wager?

Yes. Https: signs simulcast agreements for all common pool wagering with each track. A percentage of every dollar wagered into the common pool is paid to the track, who in turn, make statutory payments to their state for taxes and to their horsemen.
